With a vision to improve dehydration process technology, Richard L. Ronning founded Ronning Engineering in March of 1963 as a consulting engineering firm. The privately owned corporation has proceeded from using basic formulas to developing a comprehensive computer-aided solution for heat and material balance. This technology provides our clients with the most efficient dehydration systems on the market. While Ronning initially served the alfalfa processing industry, it has expanded to serve many industries, with a current emphasis on the ethanol industry.

Ronning Engineering’s ingenuity and expertise can be evidenced by its many American and Canadian patents obtained for equipment and process development, with others pending. The Company has also developed a dozen processes, several of which relate to the Three-Stage Dryer System, including air pollution control and waste heat utilization.
